Customer Satisfaction
Customer Satisfaction

When you bring your items into Southwest Gold and Silver we want you to feel confident you are receiving the most money for your items. You can walk in at anytime during business hours without an appointment. Most of the time we are able to immediately assist you, but at times there may be a short wait. If you have a large appraisal that will probably take more than an hour we ask that you schedule an appointment or try to arrive early in the morning when we first open.

Step by Step Walk Through

We will first separate your items by the carat (10k, 14k, 18k, platinum, sterling, ect.). We may need to perform an acid test to determine the carat and make sure the items are not magnetic. Once the items are separated we will then weigh out the items by carat. We base our price per carat on the current live market quotes, which can vary by the minute. We multiply the price per carat by the weight in grams as it appears on our scale. The price we will offer you is what we will pay you for your items. There is absolutely no charge for us to give you an offer and you are never obligated to sell to us. The price we offer is NOT an insurance or replacement value, it is merely an amount we will pay you at that time. Since market prices constantly fluctuate, the amount is subject to change. If you have bullion, coins or paper money to sell, please call ahead for an over the phone quote. Please note that the price on certain items will be contingent on the condition.

Very Competitive Pricing
Very Competitive Pricing

We want you to be confident we are providing you with the best possible offer. We recommend that you shop your items around to local gold and silver buyers and check with us last. We are confident you will find our prices to be the best in town. We pay by the gram and other places may pay by the penny weight. One penny weight is equal to 1.55 grams so although at times their pricing may sound higher, make sure you ask them if they are paying by the gram or by pennyweight. We do not recommend selling to an internet gold buyer since they tend to pay less (by the pennyweight) and you will receive more selling your items locally.
